Keeping the very fact in mind the department with the support of it`s able faculty members, visionary management and excellent and extensive infrastructure entrenches perseverance and a never-say-die spirit from academics to co-curricular activities in the heart of every student to not only making them good physiotherapists but brilliant human beings.
Physiotherapists are key players in the health care system today. They help in restoring and improving movements, keeping patients healthy, fit and active thereby improving the quality of life. They also play an important role in avoiding surgery and long term use of medications.
It is the endeavor of the Faculty to provide better health facilities and also awareness among the masses by undertaking programmersespecially among the rural population. It will contribute to rural development and ameliorate social and economic standards of the vulnerable section of the society.

Bachelor of physiotherapy (Course Code- B104) is a 4 and half years of course and it is affiliated to Pt. B.D.Sharma University of health sciences, Rohtak, and it is approved by Indian Association of Physiotherapist.
- 10+2(PCBE) with minimum of 50% marks.
- 40% marks for SC and ST candidates and a candidate who has attained the age of 17 years or more on 31st December of the year of admission

OVERVIEW OF PHYSIOTHERAPY LABORATORIES
- ANATOMY LAB:
The Anatomy lab is equipped and designed to provide the foundation of an anatomy education. They contain cadaver for dissection and prosection, palatinate body parts specimen,models,X-rays and CT and MRI sections.The lab dissection demos are captured and displayed on five high definition monitors using HD audiovisual systems.
- PHYSIOLOGY LAB:
The human physiology laboratory introduces students to laboratory techniques in the study of physiology and provides demonstration of processes learned in the human physiology lecture and various practical experiments such as blood pressure measurement, total blood count, differential count, ESR.
- EXERCISE THERAPY LAB:
Exercise Therapy lab is equipped with state of art facilities of gait re-education unit, strength training unit, balance and posture rehab unit, movement therapy unit, mobilization and manipulation unit, suspension therapy unit etc., Different exercise techniques are demonstrated in the lab and the students are encouraged to practice these different techniques on each other or on simulated models and gain confidence in performing these skills before implementing the same on the patients.
- ELECTROTHERAPY LAB:
Electrotherapy lab is well equipped with equipment’s of LASER, Ultrasonic therapy, Interferential therapy, Neuromuscular Electrical stimulator, Shortwave/Microwave Diathermy etc., Practicing in the lab gives excellent opportunity for the students to sharpen their clinical acumen by hands on exposure under guidance of experienced faculty.
- BIOMECHANICS LAB:
The biomechanics laboratory is equipped for investigating how human movements and body tissues are affected by mechanical physics and engineering principles. Biomechanical research in the lab focuses on performance improvement, injury prevention, and injury assessment as applied to joint implants and bracing of lower extremity and spine, sports related concussion.
- CARDIORESPIRATORY LAB:
The cardiorespiratory lab provides students to assess the cardiopulmonary fitness and is well equipped with highly advanced and sophisticated units such as pulmonary function test unit, TMT unit with advanced telemetry system, cycle ergometer etc.,
There is a 6 months compulsory internship programme in which students are posted in various departments like Orthopaedics, neurology and neurosurgery, paediatrics, CTVS, Obs-Gynae, Ent.,Out Patient Department inR.P.Welltar Hospital.
